Brahma Prathyaksha Sadhujana Paripalana Sangham (BPSJPS)

Kavarikulam Kandan Kumaran was a socialist and social reformer in the Travancore Sreemulam Praja Sabha for a long period of ten and a half years. Kumaran, for the upliftment of the Paraya community of Travancore, founded the Brahma Prathyaksha Sadhujana Paripalana Sangham on 29 August 1911 in Changanassery by gathering his peers and like-minded people. The Brahma Prathyaksha Sadhujana Paripalana Sangham played an important role in the education and social advancement of the lower classes.
